Cornelius
Suchy is an expert in biomass and district energy systems with
16 years of work experience in the field.
Organizations he has
worked for include various cities, provincial and national
governments, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Global
Environmental Fund, the United Nations, and the World Bank. Cornelius Suchy
used to work for MVV Energy AG, one of
companies.
His expertise in district heating stems from numerous projects for district heating systems in Germany,
Switzerland, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Ukraine and Canada. He has helped design, extend, and retrofit district heating systems,
their boiler houses and/or Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plants.
Cornelius Suchy has conducted potential studies, feasibility
studies, master plans, technical and financial analyses, monitoring and rehabilitation works on district heating systems for utility
companies. He has undertaken environmental impact studies, energy scenarios and given policy advice to governments.
One of his
key assets is combining the technical know-how with the management experience necessary to run projects successfully. Clients he has
worked for include, inter alia, the European Commission, the European Parliament, GEF/UNDP, and the World Bank.
His
expertise in biomass energy stems from five years of marketing European biomass energy technology in
Cornelius holds a Canadian B.Sc degree, a German M.Sc equivalent in Physics, and a Swiss Energy Engineering
degree.
